... I feel like such a bitch...
I blew up at Stephanie today at band practice. -_-
I couldn't help it! She's turning into her sister--no offense to any of Jen's friends!--and she thinks she rules the world; everything has to go her way. Usually I'm fine with that. Like when she's yelling at me. I can take that, I'm used to hearing that sort of crap from her sister. I have no problem with it--sometimes I'll do what she says, other times, if I disagree, I won't. But I can't take the way she yelled at Tiffany and Kirsten today.
For the god's sake, it's not that big a deal! It's practice! SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO MAKE PEOPLE CRY!!!
Okay, yes, I might be irrational. Stephanie is normally a very nice person--nicer than I am (which isn't saying much!) sometimes. Maybe it was total PMS, I don't know, but still... If you need to correct someone--especially a freshman--you don't yell at them. You explain to them how they could improve. That's all. I can understand that you have to be a little bit more firm sometimes, but you don't make them cry!
She's been doing since last Wednesday, using the argument that she could order them around because she'd "been in the unit longer." She of all people should know that that's the shittiest argument you could ever use. Some people are better at marching than others--Stephanie is not one of them. I'm not one of them (I don't think) either, but I don't freak out like that...
So around the time she started to scream about Kirsten not being in the proper spot in the diagonal (putting the poor girl in tears, I might add), I'd had enough. I started to bitch at her, making Tiffany, Kirsten, Allison, and Jess all give me a quiet cheer later, once Stephanie was a little bit out of ear shot...
I hate having to bitch at people... It goes against my nature. I'm going to feel bad all night...
