It's cold in Bal-ti-more.
Brrrr. Hello, October! Where've you been? It's about time there was weather to justify my cold-ness. The heat even kicked on for a little while this morning, and I was shocked, I'll tell you, shocked. I didn't even know we'd turned it on yet this year. o_O (Did I do that? Maybe I did that and forgot.)
To start this entry on a non-weather note,
kloos411 rocked out at the 8x10 last night for their open mike. She was well received, and everyone else who played did a great job, too. It was a lot of fun. :D Next time, though, I think maybe I should get home a smidge earlier so I can... I don't know. Eat something before I start drinking? Maybe. Not that I minded too much~ Good music, good liquor... What more do I need?
So, yes.
kloos411 rocked, and made music-friends with music-people. I'm going to urge her to go to another open mike, and (hopefully) will be able to tell some people (
punctuates, I'm looking at you) to come along.
In considerably more dorky news,
cuethe_pulse consistently makes me melt. I'm serious. Previously
prince_ivy (though the journal no longer exists), she's been stunning me with her writing for years and years, and when she started writing Gravitation... Okay, so she won my heart at Gravitation. Ivy is easily one of the best -- if not the best -- Gravitation writer out there right now. Her latest story, "Why", only proves that a little more. So check that out.
Part One
Part Two
This story is written in the way I wish I could write. And it just... Well. Part One went up yesterday, and I about died of thrilled. Part Two went up this morning, and I died a little more of delight. So if you're a Gravitation fan, it's worth the read.
Anyway. Back to work!

Anyway. It's so cool that you have such extremely talented friends. How do you handle it? Is it like looking into a bulb that's burning too brightly?
Also... hot

She doesn't wear a fedora in this movie but you can't have everything I suppose.
