Happy Halloween!

The Trick-or-Treat game is still available until midnight tonight, when NaNoWriMo starts, so get those in now!

So I almost never get trick-or-treaters -- I got none last year, and I think maybe I got one the year before? -- so this year I went out and bought full size candy bars, not the fun size ones. So even if I get no kidlets knocking on my door, I'll win. TAKE THAT, WORLD!

...I promised a post about my trip to Ireland back in mid-September. Whoops. Clearly I forgot. Maybe this weekend...?

Planning to go dancing tonight dressed as a zombie. I'm just hoping I can figure out how to un-bloody myself enough that I don't look weird and red-stained when I come to work, or to my tango class.

i don't know how available special fx make up is for you between work and dancing, but baby wipes (with no additives like aloe or vitamin E or any of that shit) usually work. if that doesn't get it all off i would try using witch hazel (which like baby wipes you can get anywhere). some people are allergic to witch hazel so patch test it on a small part of your skin first before rubbing it all over your body. if there's no visible irritation or redness after ten minutes, then you're good to go. there's also "ben nye adhesive remover" which you can get at probably any decent halloween/costume store and that'll get probably just about anything off of your skin, but i would save that for last.

We didn't get any trick or treaters, but because of the snow and downed trees and power lines, the town has moved trick or treating to November 7th, so we'll see if anyone shows up.

I complained very loudly (through the door) at two friends who were coming over for dancing, so they obediently yelled "trick or treat" when I did finally open it for them. Other than the two of them, though, no.
