Wednesdays kick my butt, but Thursdays are weird.

Phoebe, my boss, called my room this morning a little after eight. The call woke Joan up -- grr -- but I was already awake, so yay for little things? In any case. I was supposed to work this morning from nine to ten, while Phoebe was at a meeting. She discovered, however, that the meeting was an administrative one, so she didn't actually have to go. It was then that I realized that the Writing Center doesn't open until ten now (it opened at nine last year, but she changed it because of the lack of interested students) and that, had I gone to work, I would have, once again, ended up playing secretary.

I'm not sure Phoebe remembers what I was hired to do. I'm also not sure this is a bad thing.

Anyway. I didn't have to go into work today. Wooo.

Moving on. I lazed about at my computer most of the morning but did eventually get dressed and stuff. This was all well and good -- until I put in my contacts. The left lense split in half. In. My. Eye. Can we say 'ow'? Yes. Yes we can.

I called home and my mother told me my new lenses (ordered in August but back-ordered due to complications) had arrived yesterday and she mailed them today. I should be receiving them either tomorrow or Saturday. (Woot!)

The day continued.

I have Advanced Fiction Writing every Tuesday and Thursday from two until three-fifteen (or so), and I arrived to class early. Ten minutes into the class, our professor -- Barkley -- had yet to show up. We took a general poll and decided to workshop the two stories we'd received last time (Tricia first several chapters and Drew's short story). We ended up having a forty-minute long class minus one professor. I'm so proud of our dedication to our work (hahaha).

Anyway. I have band at three-thirty because I'm an idiot. Kunkle (the director) isn't here today, so we're doing section stuff, uniforms (ew), and stand music. Yeehaw.

Tonight is Girl's Night In. I'm not sure what we have planned for it, but I'm sure it'll be fun.

Later, everyone!

at least it hasn't been pouring on you all week for band x.x ew.

We're putting on Show 1 next week and then a second show (which we have yet to learn) the following week. Cram? Of course not x.x Hell, we don't even know all of show 1, let alone 2.

*liku kissu* At least you had an interesting class with no professor. I think I'd walk out of all of mine if none showed up.

How in the hell did a contact split while in your eye?

Those pixies are bitches.

Obviously.

So Berk. just vanished on everyone, ne? Unfortunately, I lack your dedication. I gave him 13 minutes (by someone else's watch), and then I split to work on fics. XD

He's probably passed out on the floor of his office.

Why the hell are we so dedicated? :P

[identity profile] kageotogi.livejournal.com 2005-09-08 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Because we're freaks.

"AUGH! MY OCULAR CAVITY!!!" fits nicely as well.

*snerk* Yes. Yes it does.
