fish_follower) called me and we talked about practically nothing for a long while. Then the following conversation occured.
Kyle: I'm watching tv. Guess what I'm watching.
Me: uh...
Kyle: you aren't guessing.
Me: you only gave me five seconds!
Kyle: mm. I changed the channel anyway, so now I'm watching something else. I don't know what it's called, but it's a movie on the ABC channel.
Me: the family channel or the other one? (I pick up the remote to see if I know what it is)
Kyle: family.
Me: ah. (I watch a scene) It's Beautiful Girl. One of their original movies; the frizzy-haired girl gets in a beauty pagent.
Kyle: yup. You've seen it?
Me: parts of it.
Kyle: kind of corny, ain't it?
Me: mmhm. Sends out a good message, though. I guess.
Kyle: kinda. Did it you get a message from it?
Me: well, I didn't exactly get an email or a phonecall from it or anything.
Kyle: that's not what I meant!
Me: mmhm. (there's a long pause while I watch a bit more of the movie) Anyway, no, I guess it didn't. (I laugh--I say the next part as a joke) Not like I need any message like that anyway, I am a beautiful girl!
Kyle: yeah, you are.
Me: (still joking around) oooh, you lady killer you! Plan on stealing a heart or two?
Kyle: I've never been on for stealing, but I'll take it if you'll give it to me.
Me: (stupid me, still joking) but I don't want to have to pay for postage!
Kyle: I'll send you a stamp. (I do the raspberry-tongue-thing--phhlllb--and he laughs) You're such a loon.
Me: neat, I've always wanted to be a currency! (an alarm beeps in the kitchen) Eeee, I've gotta go!
Kyle: 'k.
Me: Toodles!
Kyle: love ya. (hangs up)
