acquaintance rape and other stories.
Sep. 11th, 2003 11:56 pmMmm... I'm tired.
I slept over in Brad's room last night with Emily and his roommate, Dave, was slightly tipsy and let us paint his fingernails pink with silver sparkles. Then I foolishly let Emily paint my nails navy blue. Rawr. I don't own much blue. Then she found the one tickle spot I have on my whole fucking body... Grrr. Steve and I also broke up last night. It was a mutual thing, though, and we're still going to be friends.
I woke up around eight this morning when Brad's alarm went off and Emily and I went back to our respective rooms to get some more sleep. That didn't work very well--Emily came pounding on my door around ten o'clock, which was fine, so we went walking and stuff. Oh, nominations were last night, for Dorm Representatives! Some guy named Brian, who we don't know, was elected president. Our buddy Ashley was made vice president. Donna, who lives on my floor, was made secretary, and Laura her roommate is 2nd floor representative. Krissy, another friend of mine, was made 1st floor rep. Rhett Myers, who everyone adores, was made 3rd floor rep. Emily is the Treasurer and I'm RHA Representative! Ashley and I will be working together a lot because of that. We basically get to decide what the dorm's going to do with the $25 activity fee everyone had to pay when they first moved in. It'll be fun!
*yawn*
My first class today was at 12:30. I wrote the beginnings of what may eventually become an original story... Go me! ^^;;;
Yeah.
TKMaxwell777 left the GW fandom. *sobs* She's still gonna keep in touch, though (I threatened her with all sorts of random bodily harm if she didn't, so she'll keep in touch). That's good. And she offered to continue beta-ing my fics. I don't now if I'll hold her to that or not. *shrugs*
Mmm... We went to the "PlayRights" thing this evening. It was required of all freshman; it's a play concerning acquaintance rape awareness. It was sort of funny at first, then a little creepy, and then a little too close to home for comfort. All in all, though, everyone seemed to enjoy it.
I came back here and got IM about 8:30 or so and stayed on until about 9:30, while editing a paper for Michael and such. Brad and Emily came to my room and forced me to go to a party with them. It was all right, so far as parties go. I was the one "fetching" them all refills, since I don't drink, and Brad only had two cigarettes, as he promised (he's trying to quit but not doing a good job of it). He had a little TOO much to drink, though, so Emily and I are sleeping upstairs again to make sure he survives the night. Dave and Chris, his roommates, were also there. Dave came and went with us. Chris wants to pledge for the fraternity holding the party. He went at 7 and hasn't left yet, so far as we know.
What else?
Um... According to what little bit I watched on the news today, Bush declared 9/11 a national holiday: patriot's day. Is that true?
I should go take a shower and get ready for bed; I smell like cigarette smoke. Yeck.
