Homecoming events.
Oct. 19th, 2003 10:59 pmWoke up yesterday morning at 7 to get to band practice at 8:15. We had practice until ten or so--in full uniform, in the mud (yech)--and then we headed over to go on parade. We marched through main street (practically no one showed up to the parade! It's so much different from Glenelg's high school) and then went to McDonalds for lunch. After that we all met in the band room. The game was pretty bad; we lost 19-26 but the halftime was good.
The game went to overtime and afterwards we immediately got on the bus to go to Towson for the high school band competition. We watched the Ring on the way up. ^_^ I'm loving that movie! We got there a bit before eight and then went on to perform. The Frostburg, Maryland, and the Towson bands were exposition bands, sent to convince students to come to our program. We did pretty well. Maryland sounded good but they didn't do anything much. Towson was moderate on both ends. Meh.
After the exposition show, we got our picture taken (ick) and then we got back on the bus! Woot! On the way back down, we watched Final Destination 2, which was interesting. ("Man with hooks, man with hooks!") We stopped for dinner around 11:30 or 12 at Burger King. Yay for Burger King! I got a big-kids meal. That made me happy. ^_^ And I got a Hamtaro toy that has a skeleton costume that glows in the dark! Yaaaaaaaaay!!! (<---check it out, see how many a's I can get in there!) We got back in the bus and were ready to sleep--JaNae wouldn't shut up, though. Rawr. I used Greg as a pillow. He didn't like that much (actually, he didn't care, but whatever).
Finally got to sleep eventually only to be woken up when we arrived at 2:00. It was cold. Brrr... Got back into the dorm put up an away message ("I'm sleeping--wake me up and I'll kill you.") and immediately fell asleep. Mmmm, sleep. ^_^ Slept until 1:00 or so. Yay me! Mmm, sleep. ^_~
I've been doing homework the rest of the day. Fun fun, ne? *sigh*
