I'm almost afraid to update anything because the net at work is slooow (slower than the net in the room, even! ...or maybe I'm just picky. Meh.) and my next appointment is scheduled to be here in... *checks time* twenty-two minutes. Raarg.

Today's Schedule, for those who didn't know... )

So here I am. At work. For three hours. On my day off. *headdesk* What am I doing here, you ask? Sitting around, hoping I don't get in mucho trouble for offering to tutor another person after hours (tomorrow night, seven o'clock, in the lobby), and waiting for my next person to show up. If I remember right, this guy isn't exactly the best of writers, but he's uber-friendly and nice, and that makes all the difference. *nod* I could use a smile or two. ^^;;; And then, at five, I'm OUT OF HERE!!! *woot*

Don't get me wrong. I love my job. Honest. I just don't want to be right now. ^^;;; I would rather be... napping. Or something. Reading. I have two manga books ("I.G.W.A." -- or something along those lines -- and the first volume of "Here Is Greenwood" -- because I broke down and bought it) that I haven't read yet, sitting in my drawer... and a calligraphy set to play with... and stories to write...

Speaking of which. I was banging my head against my desk in philosopohy today and we were talking about one of the readings. One by the editor of our book (Laura Duhan Kaplan), even, and those are a slow, painful death usually pretty boring to read. But this one... Kroeger-Mappes (the professor) was writing notes up on the board and I started copying them down... and I looked at my paper. And I looked at the board. And I looked back at my paper. And I decided that I needed to feed my inner fanfiction whore.

So "Breath", a Gravitation ficlet from Tohma's point-of-view, has been added to my to-do list. I took notes. And I scribbled things. And I plan on actually reading the reading and getting more ideas from that. Because, you know, I've never written anything decent involving Tohma and that could be a lot of fun. ^^ (Obviously this won't be written until after I've taken care of the other things on my fanfic to-do list: "Playing House", the sequel to "Spin", the sequel to "Banister" I promised Iniquity forever ago, and "Bugged!". Patience, yo. Patience.)

La.

My meeting with McMullen went well. He'll be my professor for Sociology this intersession (I'm taking the course on-line so I don't have to come back to campus! Woot!), and he didn't seem too bad... Until I noticed he was wearing a bright blue Spongebob watch. Then my brain exploded and I decided that I was really really really really really glad to be taking the class over intersession and not on campus. ^^ Gyah. Speaking of intersession, I suppose I should figure out what the deal is for my Honors Seminar, so I don't have to drive two hours back up here to (a) buy books or (b) shoot myself in the head. Note to me: find out when the Orientation for that class is... and who teaches it. Gyaaaah.

My appointment is here. Must go. Bai!
