I wrote a short story today (ie, one page, front and back) but I'm not sure if it's an original story or a Noriko/Tetsuya fanfic. I guess it could go either way, although if it's original than the characters are shadily underdeveloped (in my opinion) and if it's a fanfic then at least one of the characters is not really in character.
It was originally supposed to be a fic for Eiri and Shuichi, but then I realized I'd already written a drabble with a rather similar pretense. So I changed the gender of one of the characters in the second paragraph and continued. In the end, the story is more about ages and generation gaps than anything else.
There is a man and a woman. I never name them, although I should probably think about it. I mention off-handedly that the man teaches at a local university and that the woman is a keyboardist/back-up singer for a fairly popular band. The man is much older than the woman. I mention, at one point, that they have a five year-old daughter.
Hmmm. Original story? Fanfiction? *squirms* Would I rather be proud of the fact that I can, despite popular belief, occasionally write original stuff or would I rather get the gratification that posting fanfiction can provide?
Decisions, decisions.
Anyway...
To-Do:
[x] throw out trash
[x] wash dishes
[x] practice
[x] type up the mystery story
[x] connect the dots on "Playing House"
[x] clean the fishtank
[x] read for Monday and Tuesday classes

slyfox78 has a friend coming over for the weekend (he should be here around four-ish, I think), so I suppose I should get started with my to-do list before time runs out! Ta.
