Rejoice and be glad, all you readers, for this is the last Writing Center Work Post you will read until next semester! Granted, you will probably suffer through OMG I'M BORED AT THE BOOKSTORE SAVE ME! posts over the summer, but whatever. This is (probably) my last day at the Writing Center for this year, which is good because I need the break.

I had a brief appointment this morning. My student, oddly enough, was the same boy who once jumped in front of [livejournal.com profile] slyfox78's car. (You know, Joan, the dyed-blond nappy-haired freak with the lip piercing? He also has a pink backpack and wears pink nailpolish, but that's actually kind of neat.) To my surprise, his car-jumping habits are misleading, as he was actually rather intelligent. He was also kind of funny, and if it hadn't been for my intense dislike of people who think it's funny to jump in front of cars, I would probably have liked him. But the sight of him makes me hiss, so there's no need to worry about my associating with jackasses. Yes.

My second appointment was cool, too. He was a graduate student and another victim of ESL, but he was super-cool and it didn't take long to finish up. That was awesome. I can't read his name, much less pronounce it, but I still enjoyed that appointment.

Mrr. I will be out of here at noon, which should give me plenty of time to catch a bite to eat and study for my Maryland History exam at 2:30. I am so glad this class is almost over. I don't know what I was thinking when I agreed to take the stupid class. -__- Andandand the de-pantser is graduating this summer, so I will Never Have To See Him Again! That's pretty swanktastic, yes? Yes.

In order to make sure I do not drop dead, I splurged and bought myself a Sierra Mist from the soda machine outside. I'm not sure why I decided on the SM, given that the machine offered up several other drink choices which I actually prefer over SM, but whatever. It's a crazy soda. That amuses me. It does nothing to help my headache, however, and I'm beginning to think I either need to stop channeling [livejournal.com profile] fish_follower's constant blah-ness or swallow a bottle of Advil. One or the other.

Last time I was bored at the Writing Center, I loaded up AIM Express and started chatting with people. Granted, I was stuck there for three hours with no appointments, but it's still a Bad Thing. Supposedly. I can't do that today because (1) I get to leave in half an hour and (2) I not-so-wisely chose a computer that is in Phoebe's direct line of sight. Ah well. I guess I'll just have to be a Somewhat Good Worker today. ^_~

I got to see [livejournal.com profile] tir_synni today at work. This is cool because I haven't seen her in a long while... and because she's very cool. Sam, you rock my socks!

Um. Moo.

Hee, do you guys like the icon? The Noriko!fade icon was getting kind of old, so I decided to replace it with sexy!Noriko. Not that Noriko isn't always sexy... or that she can be replaced by anyone, much less herself. But... Um... You know what I mean. -_-

I am very much amused because I need to know less kanji for my Japanese IV final than I had to know for my Japanese III final. This makes me happy, you see, because my kanji is hopeless. The only ones I know by heart are the ones for fish (sakana), older brother (ani), shadow (kage), month/moon (tsuki), and [my] father (chichi). For this exam, I need to know the following kanji:

the date
my nationality (both katakana and kanji)
college student
skillful
foreign country
yen

Yeah. I think I can manage that. *grin* For Japanese III, the list of kanji we needed to know was over a page long. It was a little ridiculous. But I think I can handle six kanji for now. ^_~

Righto. So, yes. My Japanese final is at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon, and then [livejournal.com profile] slyfox78 is going to show off her marvelous culinary skills, which will be very awesome.

Mrr. The next part of "Bugged!" (which was scheduled to be posted last Sunday but ignored due to finals) is ready to go up, and the part after that is mostly finished. *dance* I love finishing stories/fics. Scratching something off the to-do list is always a fantastic feeling. ^__^
