Days off.

So Margie -- one of my coworkers -- called and told me it was very slow at the store today. One person (with a stroller and two bebbies) had come in the whole day. She then told me I did not have to go in to work today if I didn't want to. I briefly considered my options: go or not go?

Yeah. You all can probably figure out what I decided. ^_~

Margie agreed to give me a call should things pick up, but, as it stands, I have the afternoon free to do some homework, catch up on my reading, and be in loads of Red Death-related pain. *pain*

Speaking of which. I woke up this morning at six to massive cramping and nausea, neither of which are entirely new and exciting. I think it's only the second time the Red Death has made me vomit, however, so that was a little unsettling. My mother was awake as well (David is at a Magic Tournament at University of Maryland today and my mother was waking him up for it) and she scolded me and told me I should see a doctor about it all, in case there's anything that can be done to make the Red Death less painful and nasty for poor little me. I declined, per usual, and then went on to whimper in a little ball of pain and nausea. It was quite pathetic, come to think of it.

Advil doesn't work as quickly as it used to. I think I may need to switch pain medications again. -_-

Mrr. While I'm thinking of it. [livejournal.com profile] chromaticism, do you remember last week or so when I asked you to pick up that virus CD for me at the bookstore? ^^ Can I get a status report on that? There's no real rush, honestly, but my boss is paranoid. Yesterday she had me to a manual virus check on all the computers, which wasted a good hour or so of my time. *chu* Thanks for being awesome, Rockstar!

'nyway. I have the day (sort of) off. I should put it to good use. Ta!

Yes, it's several weeks late, but I updated the Fish Pond with twelve new icons, two stories, and a change of email. I've also been playing with the layout for Swizzle Stick, the comic [livejournal.com profile] endaemion and I have been collaberating on for a little while. (I really like the URL. Ambitious Lemon. *titters*)

Since I'm catching up on things (sort of), I should probably get around to writing the final part of "Bugged!". *wince* I was doing so well in the beginning, what with the posting on time and such, but I'm a slacker and my scene tid-bits (written over a year ago, while I was still at the sno-cone stand!) are doing very little to help get me back on track.

I find I am equally uninspired when it comes to my script for the French-exchange-student thingy I've been playing with for quite some time now. I plan to finish up to a third part before I do some searching for an illustrator, but I'm stuck in the middle of the third segment. This does not bode well for the script, which saddens me because the main characters make me snerk a little bit. They also indulge my love for Frenchmen, a love I cannot explain as I have (1) never met a true Frenchman and (2) cannot speak a great deal of French. This makes it difficult to write a bilingual character. I will be needling my French-speaking friends when it comes time to translating [this sort of thing] into [cette sorte de chose]. Hurrah for friends. *snuzz*

I have more hair ties. This is a good thing, as I was running out. Also, it's four o'clock, which is a guarantee that I will not be going into work today (I was scheduled from 1-5). Even if Margie calls right now, I won't be able to get there until ten til five! (If this was a television show, the phone would ring right about n...

Okay. That's creepy.)
