Sep. 12th, 2005 05:28 pmHello, my darling friend list. I love you all dearly. I really do. But right now? I'm thinking I love the Fullmetal Alchemist fans the most, because I need to pick their brains for a moment. (Don't worry, everyone else. I love you, too. But I need knowledge.)
Some of you (most of you) may know that I, despite my best inclinations, am a poor college student who can not keep track of time. Because I am poor/cannot tell time, I have never actually watched Fullmetal Alchemist. (Actually, this is only half-true. I have seen the first episode, the "One is All" episode, and an episode where Al thinks he was never really human at all. But that doesn't count.) tir_synni generously gives out links to sites containing manga scans, scanlations, and various facts. Many of the other people on my f-list write fantastic FMA fics and then go on to recommend even more of them. This keeps the monster in my brain content.
Until, that is, I become slightly stupid in the head and try to write fanfic. As I did today, during my Shakespeare class. When this happens, I realize how horribly behind in the fandom I am, that I will never amount to anything in the FMA writing world (yay ego!), and that I am pathetically, terribly ignorant. (It's true. I am. Honest.)
(There is a point to this post. I am addressing this now.) I need to know one thing for this fic I am, despite my obvious lack of knowledge, writing. This isn't a major thing. Even if I knew the series well, I would still probably have to rewatch a relevant scene in order to get the knowledge I absolutely Need To Know (but not really). Since I'm not a FMA-guru, I appeal to you, my All-Knowing Fullmetal Alchemist friends/acquaintances, with one easy question:
What does Roy Mustang keep in his office? For that matter, what does his office look like? (Okay, I lied about there only being one question.) I know there is a large window behind him, thanks to the screen shots I dug up for reference, but that's about it. Are there books? Knick-knacks? Does he keep anything on his desk? His walls? What is there in the ways of furniture?
And so, my FMA-inclined friends, I leave you with my plea for help.
