So I emailed my parents on Friday to tell them that the college was putting on Annie Get Your Gun this weekend and next. I only emailed them about this because of my youngest brother --barrenfish, who never updates his journal. AGYG was his first Broadway show and (he claims) his second favorite ever (his first being Musicman, which he performed in last year). Anyway, my parents called me Friday evening and agreed to come up so Andy could see it -- but they had to go to Pittsburgh for my great-aunt's ninetieth birthday party on Sunday, so I had to keep Andy for Saturday night into Sunday.
Anyway. The parents arrived around six-thirty last night and we all (my parents, the boy, and myself) went to the play. Which was okay -- FSU has put on better shows and, quite frankly, there were a lot of things in lighting, sound, and costuming that bothered me. Then the parents bailed, Andy was left with us, and life went on.
Andy experienced his first midnight-Walmart/Wendy's run. *coo* He grows up so fast! (Not really. He's fifteen and a brat.)
I promised to help yon bratling with his persuasive essay (due tomorrow morning), leaving me less time to work on my own to-do list, silly me. I wrote my introductory paragraph last night before I had to pass out, so I figure I'll knock off another paragraph or so while he plays his video game (the only thing that keeps him reasonably quiet).
