So. Yes. In lieu of taking a three-credit seminar next semester, I've agreed to take an Honors Thesis -- IDIS 493. This is usually done over the course of a year, but Doctor Connelly assured me it could be done in one semester (if I worked my ass off). This means I need to think of a topic soon -- within the week or so -- and then start rounding up faculty advisors/resource persons for my thesis. The problem, of course, is that I can't think of anything to thesis-ize about. Past thesis topics have included:
"Obstacles Women Encounter on the Management Track"
"The Impact of the Political Model on United States Supreme Court Decisions"
"Variable Star CCD Photometry and Analysis"
"The Christianizing of Norway: Politics and Religion"
"Readers Theater Scripts"
"The Life and Works of the Mathematician Archimedes"
"Prints and Reflections on Ireland"
To conclude, I desperately need to think of an Honors Thesis on which I can work. Joan suggested I do something involving fan fiction, but I don't know (a) what I would do or (b) who would be a good faculty advisor for that. I'm leaning toward something involving literature or writing or psychology (my three big interests, as most of you know), but I haven't a clue where to start. Does anyone have any suggestions? Comments? Ideas? Questions?
Please?
In other words, NaNoWriMo starts tomorrow. My plot is bad, but workable. ^__^
