Teh lazy.

I feel like I haven't updated in a million trillion years, but I know that's not true. Or, at least, I don't think it is. (When did I last update? *goes to check* Ah. The 19th. That's not so bad.) In my defense, there hasn't been a lot happening lately. I've been NaNoWriMo-ing my butt off (not so much these past few days, but yeah. You know what I mean.) and messing with my schoolwork and... Well, the usual. Had my ear pierced, re-dyed my hair, and "celebrated" an rp-character's eighteenth birthday (yay Coby for being legal! Wooo!).

Um. School break started today, so I ran far away from campus. Drove, actually. Well. Rode. Because I'm lazy and didn't want to drive, even though I was urged to do so. In brief, my father picked me up. Me and [livejournal.com profile] pereppi. And drove Kyle to the Super 8 motel so he wouldn't have to wait for his parents in the cold. ([livejournal.com profile] pereppi's house is very pretty.)

The end? I fear I'm not making a great deal of sense right now. I'm not entirely sure my Gaim (my instant messaging program) is working properly, although that doesn't bug me so much, I'm a little cold, and I can't quite remember what I was trying to do with the current scene in my novel. But! I'm wearing my sexy boxers (they're green with these terribly clashing-but-cute pink crabs on them; if I feel especially brave and self-confident, I may one day put up a picture and show you all just how sexy these boxers are, especially when I wear them with my terribly eighties t-shirt, because the t-shirt is just as tacky and hideous and thus sets up the sexiness of the boxers. Yes).

...that parenthetical phrase was far too long. Back on track. I'm wearing my sexy boxers (the garish ones), thinking about making some tea (yay tea!), and I finally have my music back (I left my CD collection at home the last few times I came back here from school. I wasn't deprived of music, since both [livejournal.com profile] slyfox78 have a plethora of fun tunes, but I did miss some of my CD-age). Yay CD-age!

I should really get back to writing. ^^ I'm ahead of the game, but my mother is getting all rawr-y about my GRE stuff, so I should really finish NaNoWriMo and get my butt in gear in that respect. What with the test taking and grad school application due dates all coming to a close. Yes.

Boo on tests and applications. I think there should be talent scouts for graduate schools. It would make more jobs for people and give me less work to do. (I am teh lazy. Yes.)

Oh! I went to work today and was uber-busy. I am pro-busy, really, but. My three-hour appointment slots were all full and I got two walk-ins; I didn't have a single break, which is okay. But! About half an hour before I was scheduled to leave work, I'm working with one of my walk-ins and one of the other tutors came in. Phoebe, the boss, looked up at him and went "Would you like the day off? You don't have any scheduled appointments and I don't think we'll be that busy this afternoon. Catherine can take care of everything."

>_< Thanks, Phoebe. Never mind that I have a class after work and haven't had a spare moment to file those papers you asked me to take of (since apparently I've become your secretary all over again?), but sure. Give someone else the day off. Grr. Ah, well. At least I'm getting paid for having worked my butt off; the tutor who was granted the day off had to fix his time sheet and everything so he wouldn't be paid for not working. Haha. :P

That having been said. I'm going to make tea and (hopefully) get back to my novelling; we'll see how that goes!
