GRE woes, and a special birthday wish.
Dec. 19th, 2005 11:54 amI took my GRE this morning and, by some strange, cruel, sadistic twist of fate, I did better on my quantitative than my verbal. Which is not to say I did overly well on either one. Hooono. I scored a 500 on verbal and a 520 on math. I suck at life. >.< I should probably just go die in a ditch somewhere and forget about going to grad school. Anyway, I sent my scores to WVU (where I want to go), College Park (which is meh-y), University of Delaware (because it was there), and Florida State University (because I felt like being a goof). I'm trying to decide if it's really worth taking the exam again. I know I could do better if I did -- I would have more than two days to study for it, after all -- but that's another 100+ dollars I'd have to shell out and more for me to worry about. And I'd have to steal my scores back from all the schools I sent it to. >_>
Ah, well. I'll probably call WVU sometime today -- after the lunch hour -- and see what sort of GRE scores they consider "passing". I'm still in that dejected "But I can do better than that..." mode, though, so I'll have to call after I eat a pint of ice cream. Mmm, ice cream. (Or stromboli. Maybe I'll make myself a stromboli. Hm. ...I need to learn to eat things before I leave the house.)
Other than that, all is well! I work from five to eleven today, which should be interesting enough, and that gives me a few hours to chill and do stuff-that-is-more-fun-than-tests. Yes.Like fret and worry over test scores. (I'm having another adolescent freakout. Ignore me.)
But don't ignore this! (Like you could if you tried.)

imayb1's daughter's birthday today, so she deserves sparkle letters. Said sparkle letters will never grace my journal again, as they make my eyes hurt. The end. ^_~
Happy birthday, Munchkin.
