Where'd my weekend go?
Aug. 26th, 2007 08:15 pmSo! My father's family threw a surprise birthday party for my mother yesterday (she hits 50 on Tuesday), and that was a lot of fun. I got to catch up with some relatives, eat crab dip (yum), and generally have a good time. And I found myself leaving with a television and DVD player, which is sort of a long story. So that was cool.
I was planning to finish moving today, but forgot to buy myself a mattress thingy for my bed and thus did not. Um. I have to move by Tuesday, though; I only have two changes of clothes still here (and some dirty clothes that need to go in the laundry, but that's another matter altogether). I am such a slacker. And I had to give up my wicked-cool parking space in order to come back here, which is le saaaad.
Um. Got a new bed, which I love, and managed to move most of my Big Stuff today. So the bed is there and my bookshelf; the desk and dresser are still pending -- ugh. Still, it's only a matter of time. And it's kind of making me antsy. Eek.
Work tomorrow. I might try to make it a short day so that I can get the majority of what's left of my stuff moved to the apartment, but we'll see how that goes. That's all for me. ^^ Later!
