And on the ninth day, God created summer vacation, and He saw that this was good. On the tenth day, God decided he wanted to mess with all of human kind and made it so people couldn't go through one day of summer vacation without having to do work, getting sick, or being bored. And God saw that this was reasonably amusing and went back to bed.
So this is apparently how it works: I got up early one day this past week so I could go to work, and I make up for it by spending the next three nights unable to keep my eyes open for an extended period of time. Grr on that. I guess I actually have to stop staying up so late. Or something. *cough*
My schoolwork is out to get me. Strangely enough, I'm okay with this. It did just sink in, however, that I have agreed to take up a job I despise in order to make some extra cash. *cringe* Damn the bookstore and the way it makes the hours drag on forever.
For a more irritating turn of events, I have apparently lost the ability to write. Unless I can all of a sudden put my brain to the meat grinder, there will be no update of "Bugged!" tomorrow. This, too, does not bug me. The lack of writing in general, however, is making me antsy. I need to drabble but have nothing to work on... and, for once, my tiredness isn't offering up any suggestions.
Desperately want to hang out with
endaemion and
noueux but can't seem to find the time for it. Also really want to track down Laura, Amie, Becca, Colleen, and Brenna and spend some time with them. Would also like to get together with
pereppi, as she is awesome. I'll probably see her when she,
loswald, and
monkeyking1487 graduate, however.
Grr on free time (or lack thereof), schoolwork, work-work, and fleeting inspiration (no, not the story. I spent a few minutes trying to puzzle over a different way to phrase that but couldn't think of one, so... Yes. It stays, as it is applicable and makes me snerk a little bit).
