Well, the not-so-bright side (the dim side?) is considerably more depressing than the bright side, since it involved taking a right away and could potentially set a very bad precedent, so it's not hard to see why people are focusing there.

I know the CA evangelicals had a big public outcry about gay marriage, but practically all of Hollywood was for gay marriage.
It's sad really that it isn't allowed nationally though.
