Well, the not-so-bright side (the dim side?) is considerably more depressing than the bright side, since it involved taking a right away and could potentially set a very bad precedent, so it's not hard to see why people are focusing there.
Yick. Mississippi lasted longer than the country did as a whole.
States are making progress, little by little. The passing of Proposition 8 completely blows, but hopefully that will be rectified before too long. Until then, fingers crossed.

It's sad really that it isn't allowed nationally though.
