No Pants Day
Student Tossing
I'm a touch bothered by the both of them.
The RHA Banquet was all right, I suppose. It mainly involved us sitting around and talking. I sat with
fookme,
mr_shat,
rotcguy2, Krissy, and DD (an RA in Cumberland Hall) and we had a decent time. The food was all right, too... Salad, spiced potato buds, stuffed chicken, and stuffed bell peppers. Y'know, good stuff. And they had cakes and pies and such for desert, so it was nice. And we got free stuff. W00t for free stuff!
Leilla and I finally came up with a name to Our Project: Swizzle Stick. A swizzle stick is a small thin rod for stirring mixed drinks, in case you were wondering. ^_^ I'm not sure why we decided to name it that, but it's as good a name as any and it works! Huzzah! So, anyway, I have a few scripts written (although not typed up) and she's already gotten a few sketches done, so things are shaping up nicely! ^_^
Lately I've been tempted to go out and buy myself a cell phone. I've never really seen the attraction to the things, but I can definitely understand how they can come in handy. For example, if your car breaks down in the middle of the highway, or if you desperately need to call your mother in order to ask about medical emergency-type things. And, given the state of my car and my roller-coaster health, both of those could be problems for me in the future. Why haven't I gone out and bought a phone yet? Several reasons... For one, I want to talk it over with The Folks before I do anything. For another, I don't really have a lot of money available to pay the monthly bills. I'm not hard-pressed for cash or anything, but if I have to pay a huge bill every month, things could get bad.
Another thing I've been tempted to do is take up smoking, just so I'll have something to do with my hands. I've been scolded by numerous people to stop biting on my knuckle every time I get nervous or bored or whatever, so it occurred to me that smoking would keep my hands busy without leaving yucky spots on my hands. Chances are that I'm never ever going to take up smoking, however, so my lungs can be happy. Yay for lungs.
I should probably get back to work. Rawr.
