Complainy work post.
Feb. 23rd, 2005 10:12 amOkay. When I've been off-line for only twenty-four hours and still have to go back through eight pages of friends in order to catch up with all of you, there's a problem. (It was really eight! I counted!) I'm not going to do a friend's cut. Nooo. I know better than that. I like (most) all of you too much to cut any of you out and those I don't like so much have a tendency to grow on me. I just want to bitch about how it takes me almost a full forty-five minutes to skim through half of the entries that accumulate in a twenty-four hour period.
Anywho.
The Internet has been down in the dorms since yesterday, per usual. I have the net at work, which says very little in and of itself... Um, I've been doing a lot of embroidery (I've resorted back to the Middle Ages, you know, now that I can't indulge my Internet addiction) and that's about it. I finished my Shakespeare essay for Idris in record time and am pretending my Brit Lit essay on literature and education doesn't exist right now, simply so I don't have to work on it.
Kyle, you have yet to call me about that birthday thing, but I'll forgive you because I'm nice like that. *pet pet* If the net is back tonight, I'm sure I'll catch you then.
I have had that awful Spears-woman song stuck in my head ever since I walked outside this morning. This is a bad thing, as I hate such music and have not listened to it in many, many years. If walking outside inspires Spears music, I would rather spend my entire life indoors, thankyouverymuch.
*sigh* I should post that rp to
_no_style_ someday soon; I emailed it to myself once we finished it, but I don't know if I have the time to format it. (Or Kyle could be a dear and post it for me, but that's not going to happen. Because Kyle's not a dear. He's a jerk. A snuggable jerk. And he still has stuff to post for Joan.) Anywho, I'm at work and nothing is happening because no one has made an appointment for any time today and I'm bored and want coffee like whoa but should be working on my Brit Lit essay or reading more Faustus for class. T_T
Righto. I'm going to go lounge instead.
Happy birthday to Yuki Eiri. And to all you other, non-fictional people whose birthday happens to fall on this date. I know who you are. Really.
Anywho.
