Cooking? Me? *snerk*

I was somehow roped into making dinner for my family tonight. *headbash* Now, you see, this is a complicated thing. Why? Oh. I'll tell you why.
Point A: I do not have the attention span to cook. I can bake, yes, and occasionally that'll even turn out the way I want it to, but cooking? Nuh-uh. Too much work for my brain to keep track of.
Point B: There are five people in my family. Both of my younger brothers are very picky eaters, which makes it hard to find something they'll eat. My mother is a low-carb nut, so anything I make has to be made for her needs. My dad is easy about this sort of thing. Yay Dad!
Point C: Because I don't cook, I have no recipes. This makes cooking difficult, as I will forget what I'm doing (see Point A above) and leave something out or repeat something altogether.
Points A and B I can deal with. Point C is the real clincher in this case. *taps foot* I can improvise. I just need a recipe. Preferably something to do with chicken. *goes off to root through her pathetic recipe collection*
And, once that's done? Homework. Oh yes. Gyaah. T_T

Date: 2005-05-25 07:26 pm (UTC)Cooking is the evil. I don't know what I'll do if I ever have a huge fight with Joan. *__* Between the two of us, she's the only one I trust with a stovetop. For that matter, I'm not sure why my family decided to volunteer me. My brothers hate everything I make (like I said before, they're very picky eaters) and my parents were around when I once made tacos and we ended up going to Pizza Hut instead. I guess they're hoping I actually learned something useful at school. -_-
