Today I saw Episode III with the family. (I liked the original Star Wars Trilogy and was apathetic about Episode I. I have yet to see anything of Episode II other than the final five minutes.) It... wasn't too bad, I guess. Padme's lines amused me. Anakin was snerkaliciously corny. And, of course, I loved watching Samuel L. Jackson writhe in pain. There should have been more wookies. And R2D2 droid fighting. (And Han Solo. *swoons over young Harrison Ford* Star Wars just isn't Star Wars without sexy Han.) I didn't understand some of the actual plot-plot (my brothers explained that I had to have seen Episode II in order to do that and refuse to tell me what I missed), but that was all right. I know how it ends anyway. ^_~ And I put on a little show of surprise when the name Darth Vader was first uttered. It made my brother snerk, which amused me. The dude behind me laughed at my display, too, and that made me grin.

In other news...

Steven Tyler got a doctorate from the Berklee College of Music. When I heard this on the radio on the way home, they neglected to mention that it was from a music college (and, for that matter, what the doctorate was), and my dad started to chortle. When I thought about it, I had to chortle, too. My brother piped in with "Wow. Maybe I should do drugs for thirty years and get a doctorate for it, too" and I had to pelt him with anything I could reach... Including my book, my watch, my beads, my shoe, and a map of Mississippi (why do we have a map of Mississippi? I don't think we've ever been there). He learned his lesson the hard way (but he did have a point >_<).

I didn't like episode III at all. episode II was the best our of all of them just because of like 2 or 3 scenes. ^_^ III was too ... ick. Padme is awsome in II ^_^ a must see!

I had a minor "OH MY GOD, YOU MEAN ANAKIN IS DARTH VADER?!" moment (quietly), in which I feigned total surprise and shock and, at the very end, fell down dead on the movie theatre floor (quite disgusting, I assure you).

LOL - I totally bitched at one of my friends when he was telling me about how Anakin went evil and said he RUINED it for me, because I didn't know. It was fabulous. I think I might make a scene at the theater. Would that be so wrong?

A quiet scene, dear. You don't want to disturb the movie for anyone who is really passionate about the Star Wars films, as they will turn on you and probably slit your throat.
