My internet connection is being a bitch and will only let me access certain sites. *scowl* This makes me turn various shades of unhappy, but I'll live.
I got back to FSU yesterday around noon. I helped Greg unload all of his things first, and then we headed to the neighboring hall to unload my stuff. Vikki was already there (hi, Vikki!) and she was watching the Lion King, which is, all in all, a stupendous movie, but not nearly as awesome as Cats Don't Dance, which I really want to find a copy of... 'nyway, I got my dad to hook up my computer (I'm lazy like that) and then wished the folks luck getting home before the storm set in! Greg and I met up with more FSU buddies and we headed over to the bookstore to collect the things we'd need for classes. I got all my books (brand new!) for just a little over two hundred dollars! It's a miracle! *squeee*
Mmm... Watched The Producers for the first time with Greg and Emily. It's a funny movie, believe it or not, and I highly recommend it. Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel are superb. ^_^
Hit the sack around midnight and was woken up at quarter till seven by Vikki's alarm clock. Rawr. She eventually discovered that classes had been cancelled until 10, so she went back to bed, letting me return to my snooze session. My alarm went off around 8:30, so I got out of bed and checked the report, which said classes were cancelled until 10. Wonderful.
Yawning and the like, I started to get ready for my 11 o'clock Geography class. And them Emily IM'ed me with the message: classes are cancelled until 5! I had to check about fifty different places before I could confirm that message and be satisfied with it, so I decided to go back to bed. And then I was whapped across the head by a bout of sleeplessness, so I turned on the tv.
And here I am! It seems as if the only class I'll have today is Comparative Lit at 6, but I can live with that. I wouldn't have cared if we'd had classes today, anyway... It's the first day back, so pretty much all we'd do is go over the syllabus and stuff! Wheee!
*yawn* I'm gonna go bother Emily. Toodles!
update: school has been closed! huzzah!

Date: 2004-01-26 09:32 am (UTC)The best part about this is that my university is in the mountains, so they're used to getting lots and lots of snow up here. Consequently, it's rare that we get the day off because of snow. And I am loving it. ^_^
