Pocky day!

Happy pocky day. ^_~
In other news, today has been a pretty awesome day. My first class, Neo-European Literature, was kept very short. Parks returned our last papers to us (I earned a 92; not quite as good as last time, but still pretty swanktastic!) and we took a fairly easy quiz, and that was it! Class ended a half hour early. In French, Monsieur Carr "forgot" to give us a quiz and instead spent the entire class going over question stuff and parts of speech. It was pretty neat. Shakespeare was canceled, but I was asked to play dead!Ophelia by the group performing Hamlet on Monday, so I went to their practice and lay on a desk the entire time. It was rather fun. (My acting debut: a corpse. Rock.)
Anyway. On my way back to my room from work, I ran into one of my students (for those not up on the program, I'm a tutor at the school's Writing Center), who stopped me and told me that he earned an A on the last paper he turned in and that he owed it to me. *coo* That made me feel great, like whoa. Then
pereppi and I went to lunch and ran into Brian, who went a little crazy with the salt shaker. We wrote the staff a note apologizing for the salt-mess and I wrote a brief explanation of the salt, which mostly involved salt!sex and the expectation fat salt children. It was fun. ^__^
After lunch, I went to work, because I had to, and met with a student who I really like working with; it takes a while to get through her papers, sometimes, but she knows what she's talking about (read: I can name worse off the top of my head) and she's fun to work with. Today she spotted the stuff on my bag (I have a few anime-related pins, an FMA keychain with Roy and Ed on it, and a patch of the alchemical symbol), asked if I was into FMA, and we immediately started talking anime. ^.^ It was a lot of fun, and now I have a few new things to check out the next time I hit up the Waldens!
When I came back to the room, I played a bit of FMA: Broken Angel because I still haven't finished it and got past that stupid level with the tetris blocks. Once I thought it through, it wasn't nearly as difficult as I'd first assumed! I got up into Tower Room 5 with move-y block-y things and teasure chests that are conveniently difficult to get to, saved, and turned the thing off. Blah.
I should really be working on my NaNoWriMo project, but I'm kind of lazy right now. So there. Hello, television!
what flavor pocky are you?

Date: 2005-11-12 11:48 pm (UTC)What sorta stuff do you cover in Neo-European Literature?
xD Now that is a debut with style. I bet many people can't say that ;D Except - *point to icon*
Well done on your apparent super teaching skillz :) And salt babies!! Can I be a long distance god mother? Or perhaps just a long distance good vibes-giver? Perhaps god mother is not really a long distance thing o.o ... Does long distance have a hyphen? Heh heh.
Soon I'll get to see FMA!! *excited* I've heard so much about it.
