Those wannabe alchemists just never learn...

Seeing as how I had nothing else worthy of being turned in to my Advanced Fiction class last week, I gave them the first few (seventeen, in my format, twenty-two double-spaced) pages of Aristeia, the novel I'm writing for NaNoWriMo. This was good because (a) I learned how to pronounce the title -- I saw the word on the old 3am board and lifted it because I liked it --, (b) I was reassured that it is halfway decent, and (c) I know of two major errors that I need to correct in my first revision and should continue to guard against as I write it now.

Squee.

When I told Barkley and the class that I wanted to write most of this novel within a month (although I think that while I'll hit the NaNo-50,000 word count, I won't quite be finished), Barkley nodded his head and said he approved of writing quickly (although he told me before that he thought 50,000 words in a month was ridiculous). Maybe I'll have my first draft of this story finished by the end of December -- that would be great. ^_^

That's all from me for now. I'll probably post a to-do list later.
