Dreams, mostly.

I had triple dreams last night.
The first featured a guy I don't think I know, but he was a guy. It all took place on the Frostburg State campus (in the PAC, oddly, except there was a gym in there), and something had happened so the girls and the guys were all stuffed in one gym. Typically they had separate girl-classes and guy-classes because the girls felt weird when all the guys could do something they couldn't or... I don't know. Anyway, my guy went up to the instructor and suggested an alternative aerobics class or something for anyone who didn't want to do the weights and the acrobatic tricks (like I said, it was strange). All the girls went to the aerobics class -- and so did my guy and another guy (a friend of his, who was a little bit plump). The friend didn't want to do aerobics, though, so he spoke to the instructor and he and the guy managed to get themselves a separate fencing class in the girl's half of the gym. But my guy was unhappy, because he really wanted to try the aerobics, so one time he joined in. Then a girl complained that guys weren't allowed in there, so he and the other guy had to go back to the guy's side of the gym, and my guy was extremely unhappy -- to the point where he pouted outside by the echo circle. He spoke to a strange girl, and that was fun, and she made him feel a little better, so he went to the dance concert (...which the aerobics girls were putting on, I guess?). It had a moral. At one point, he said something about the girls wanting to be independent and do the same things the guys could do and then yelling at him for wanting to do what the girls were doing. I don't remember all of it.
The second dream was a high-school dream, and it was bizarre. My high school band (featuring more people from middle school than anything else) were in New York and on this jet that was supposed to take us back to school. Something glitched on the computer, though, and so we crashed just after lift off. We all went back to the hotel, but I forgot my backpack and went back to the plane, where I discovered the carcass of a deer trapped under the roof of the plane (...because apparently my dream!plane is built like a car, in that it has a trunk and all) and I screamed and the like, then went inside to get my bag. It turned out that some of the guys had made a contest as to the best place to hide these dead animals they'd found, and one guy (Tyler, from middle school) had hidden the deer under the roof of the plane, which had made the computer mess up and made the plan crash. So we were all very mad at him.
The third dream was probably the strangest (not saying much, I know). I was reading a book that Barkley (my creative writing instructor) had told us to read, and it was a collection of short stories (I was the star in several *heart*). I don't remember all of them. One featured a woman president (not me) who lost a bowl and was more concerned with finding the bowl than leading the country. The other involved a bunch of ASL kids who spoke aloud while they signed and a person (me) who didn't want to do anything because I didn't know all the signed words and I'd look dumb if I just spoke aloud and spelled everything out. Another story featured Gerry (Joan's boss), who was putting on some kind of breakfast/dinner for kids with allergies, and he had a plate of things with all the allergens on it so they would know what to avoid, and I was there trying to wash dishes (because one thing had strawberries in it and it had gone bad) but some old guy was there hogging the sink and talking politics to himself. There was another one, too, and it involved toy soldiers, but I can't remember what it was about. Anyway, the strange thing about the dream was that after I had these little bits of chapters thrown at me, I found myself in Barkley's classroom discussing the book with a lot of the people from my creative writing class. It was very realistic. Bex hadn't read the book yet and planned to read it during class (so she made me sit between her and Barkley so Barkley wouldn't notice) and John could only make comments as to whether or not he liked a stories, Tricia had thoughts on the realistic nature of the characterization, Lori (who was actually only ever in my poetry classes) commented that she had read the story about the toy soldiers for Doctor Hurd's poetry class and that it made a lot more sense the second time around, and I was there trying to find something smart to say that no one else had mentioned. Doctor Connelly (the honors supervisor) was there as well, hanging over my shoulder. Apparently reading this book had something to do with my Honors Thesis, so she had to be there for the discussion. (That, right there, should have tipped me off that it was a dream.) Also, while I was in his classroom I was thinking back to the second dream I had (about the plane) and wondering if I could turn that into some kind of short story -- although I would obviously have to take out the dead animals and make it make more sense. I think my version involved a small child. Hm.
...not that any of you really cared about my strange dreams. I should put all that under a cut. *does so*
My kitten has been getting in lots of trouble yesterday and today. He's knocking things off shelves, waking me up by licking my ears (which is a No-No. Some of you know why), helping me play Find The Shoe (I found one in the dining room yesterday. Downstairs. The other was in the bathroom. I still haven't found my shoes today), destroying my bookmarks (well, some of them were ugly), and all sorts of things. He clawed up my back to play parrot yesterday, and that was painful. >.< Silly kitty. Maybe he needs a talking to.
I watched Ouran High School 10 last night, and
pereppi sent me scans from some of the Japanese manga she found. XD Sleeping!twins! Kaoru and Hikaru and Haruhi! Tamaki's mushroom head! The supermarket! Haruhi's dad (...although I already knew the thing about her dad. Yay, manga!). Lauren has promised to let me borrow some of her manga next time I see her (I only have volume one, and she has through number five). *heart* She's so good to me.
