I think this *points* is my favourite icon so far. ^__^ I took the shot from one of the remixes (it should be fairly easy to guess which one), cropped it, cleaned it, and coloured it (all of it, with the exception of the tiiiny white square that's supposed to be printer paper). It took me about three hours. Three hours I should have spent doing my actual work-work. Or writing.
*coff*
Why yes, my priorities are in order. Why do you ask?
I coloured two other icons today, bringing my total of coloured icons up to six. ^_^ I'm horribly ashamed of the first one I did, but the other five are under the cut.
I'm way too proud of myself for this to be good for me. ^^
In other news, my mother and I went to see the movie Step Up today. It was predictable, but it was pretty good. I very much enjoyed the routine at the end, and I liked how they at least tried to give the characters depth. I'm sure it wasn't easy. Either way, on the way to the theatre, my mother and I were discussing the results of the recent election, and she was very glad to see one former officer leave. Here's why:
Her: I just don't like him.
Me: Well, why not?
Her: Because.
Me: Because why?
Her: I don't like what he says.
*pause*
Her: He'd be okay if he was a mute.
Me: *trying not to laugh* What?
Her: He would! I mean, he doesn't need his voice to sign checks, does he?
I love my mom. Her politics are (for the most part) the best thing ever.
edit: Because I didn't feel like going to bed, I posted an update to icon mosaic. Check it out -- it's a great community, and while my icons may not be the best, Joan and Lauren certainly pop out a good bit of quality stuff.

Date: 2006-09-15 02:22 pm (UTC)I don't take part in any icon contests, mostly because my iconning is erratic. I only icon when I feel like it, so I'd basically just contribute to the competitions two or three times a year and that would be it.

I was so upset with the bathtub one because I coloured the image while it was huge and then I resized it and it looked like crap, so I had to crop it. I wound up cropping out some of my favourite parts for the sake of keeping Shuichi and Eiri in the picture. *coff*
