I received an email from Kyle and Kaitlin today. It read "You should update your livejournal", and that was all. It was probably more from Kaitlin than Kyle, as it had capital letters, but I know there was some Kyle in there, too, as the subject of the email was 'no'. Oh, Kyle. You never change.

So, yes. I'm updating my journal. Um. There's... not much to say.

I saw Wicked with the family this past Friday. I was bothered, at first, by the pacing of it (I was expecting more character development than I got in the first bit, I guess), but once I got used to the movement of the musical, it all went just fine. I, er, liked the ending. A lot. It's different from the book (and that's as much as I'll say about it, for those who haven't seen the musical) and it's very... Yes. I liked it. I was all "...that never happened" about it, but I liked it.

Friday was a pretty shitastical day at work. Not because it was work, but because... Well, because it was work, I guess. I came in knowing I'd have a great deal to do that day (there were several things I meant to finish up that morning), and I kept getting things piled up on me from there. My favorite part came about four o'clock when I got a huge project dropped in my lap. Anyway, the highlights of my work day were getting coffee with Kelsi and going to the Hyatt with Betty to confirm some reservations for an event we're having in February. That was kind of fun. But other than that, Friday was one heck of a day.

Ummm. I'm supposed to be updating the bookstore website this weekend, but I haven't done very much with it. Whoops. I guess I should get on that.

I know I owe Origific to a few people (i.e., to [livejournal.com profile] photoash, [livejournal.com profile] volandum, and [livejournal.com profile] tabbyphobos), and that I promised those Origifics by the end of the month. Um. I may grant myself an extension of that deadline. January gave me far more than I bargained for. So yeah. It won't be a long extension, but none of the Origifics are ready yet. So you can wait a little while longer. So there.

I need to change the oil in my car, but it's cold outside and I don't have a filter and I don't want to do it, so maybe I'll just let it wait until next week and pray the car doesn't die on me or take it to Jiffy Lube or something. I hate copping out like that, but I'm not really in the mood to do an oil change. Ugh.

it is too cold for an oil change... maybe let jiffy lube as that's the joy of working that you can pay for things like that >_>

There's a Jiffy Lube about twenty minutes away from me, but I'm not sure if I want to pay them thirty dollars for something I can do myself for about a third of that. So we'll see.

I'm plenty inspired -- I'm just undergoing a bit of a time crunch. ^^ Real life has been hitting me hard lately.

According to "Car Talk", as long as you have oil in your engine, nothing particularly bad will happen to your car. Changing the oil isn't totally necessary, you see, it's more like a ... modern fallacy of car owning. Thus, if you feel you must change the oil, waiting is okay.

Reeeaaaally? Sweet. I'll have to check the oil again tomorrow and make sure i'm not running too low, and then maybe I'll hold it off for another week or two. ^__^

You got to see Wicked! Lucky you! I don't believe it's come here and I couldn't afford it right now even if it did. But I loved the book. And I've heard good things about the musical. Lucky!

It's really good. ^_^ The ticket was a Christmas gift from my parents (the whole family went to see it), and it was wonderful. There were some aspects that I didn't like (the pacing in the beginning, mostly, but I got used to that quickly), but it's an all-around good show.

Do you have the soundtrack? I could upload some of it for you, if you want.

Not a problem! I'll take care of that once I get home. I've been meaning to post a music download anyway.
