Hypothermia =/= Productivity

My office is either located on the ice planet of Hoth or they forgot to turn on the heat this week. And let me tell you, ladies and gents, that the shivering makes it really, really hard to get work done. Rest assured, however, that I am doing my best nonetheless! That's totally why I'm on LiveJournal instead of, you know, submitting forms to the Library of Congress or checking page proof or, y'know, doing the other million things I need to get done today.

Because yes, I'm blaming it on the cold.

Brrr.

That sounds marvelous. I'm actually tempted to bring in a fleece blanket from home. (Or I would be, if it wasn't covered in cat hair.) It can only help, right?

Ack. Um. All three were started and at least one (yours, I think) was mostly written, but NaNo came along before i actually finished them. I'll get back to them as soon as I hit the 50k mark, though, you can trust me on that. I want them written just as much as you do!

I have one at home, which is why I went home. ^_^ I usually keep a small lap blanket at my desk at work in the winter, and carry a buttload of those pocket warmers, but the cold snuck up rather unexpectedly today.

I keep meaning to knit myself some fingerless gloves, but I never actually get around to doing more than a wrist-cuff. ^^ I get distracted too easy.

Haha... I said "office" meaning "company/building/floor", actually, but I can see how that would be confusing. Nope, I'm still a cube bunny. I'm fine with that, though. From what I understand, the offices are even colder.

Taking the day off today so I can get the kittehs to the vet, so I'm hoping to get ahead in NaNo today. We'll see how it goes! Today's goal is 20,000.

Good luck with the vet and NaNo. 6,400 words in one day? The most I've ever written is 10k in five days when I finished the first draft of my 7thnight_smut story.

I actually broke 16k last night (I didn't hit the 17k I wanted, but it'll do), so it's only a little less than four-thousand words. That's not so bad. :)
