I was going to sum up tonight's Supernatural (as if the above didn't do that), but [livejournal.com profile] jinsai did it oh-so-much better than I ever could. So here's that post, which seriously hit on just about every point I wanted to make on the epispode -- the Sarah thing, the Sam and Dean thing (HE FLINCHED), the not-explaining-that-one-night thing, the predictable neighbor thing -- except for one:

Maddie and Sam! Werewolf sex (in a completely not-bestiality-ish sort of way)! Horribly fantastic. I want an icon of that scene so that I may giggle lecherously at it for ages and ages to come. Mostly I was thrilled because Sam was finally getting some action (love on him~!) and Dean was left with Pay-Per-View and his strip club, but the fact that [livejournal.com profile] domacatrix (and I, although I kept a little bit more quest about it, Joan XD) completely predicted the wild werewolf!sex. Then again, Joan did a better job of it -- she actually did a count down. "Rough sex in three... two... one... *BAM!*"

...yeah, I'm completely thrilled by that episode of Supernatural. It was pretty rocksome.

Sam is so preeeeetty. ^_^ The post-coital shot was lovely, too.

Also, Sam seems to be very much into the biting. Hoo.

We liked the veiny muscle shot. Oh yes. Over all, she was quite pretty too but her eyebrows kind of scared us.

She had scary cheekbones, too. And her bangs were a little tragic. Lovely eyes, however.

Sam is le preeeeeetty.

I didn't mind her cheekbones as they reminded me of James Marsters. Spike ♥

Can I assume that Supernatural is a television show? I hate to sound ignorant about such things but nowadays I only watch television on Thursdays when CSI is on. More importantly, can I also assume from your post that it is a good show?

It's a good show if you like that sort of show. Not everyone likes it, clearly, and they all have their reasons, but I heart it to death. Basically there are two brothers, Sam and Dean, who go around hunting various supernatural entities. There was more direction to the first season (their father was missing, Sam was feeling vengeful, and they were both going after a certain demon), but the second season has its high points, too (Dean is wanted by the police, Sam has a sort of chip on his shoulder, and WEREWOLF SEX).

Anyway, I recommend it because I like it, but I know of many people who don't like it, so whatever.

I Googled the title of the show and the brothers are indeed squee-worthy... But then I realized what day this was posted. EEEK! It's on the same time as CSI! *cries* That's okay, I probably won't be watching it next week, because there' going to be a new episode in CSI, but the next time they have a repeat or, worse, have some stupid basketball tournament on in its place *grr*, I'll check it out.

You know that you've been watching/reading too much yaoi when you see the words WEREWOLF SEX and automatically perk up, assuming it's between two guys! haha.

I don't have to miss EITHER because I just visited Netflix.com and they have the first season on DVD! It has immediately been moved to the top of my queue! Since I was a big fan of BtVS, I'm sure I'll like this just fine.

Thank you for setting me up with a potential new obsession! *^-^*

I quite like the show and enjoy watching it, although it's certainly not without its faults. It is a little predictable in that sort of you figure out the bad guy half-way through every episode way. But the two main actors are both very talented (and also good-looking). I'm not a fan of the Win-cest as they call it that most of the fandom promotes but there's certainly good brotherly bonding, lots of angst, and also lots of snarky humor! (And an ungodly lovely car!) Also, great soundtrack.

I'm pretty solidly with the opinion that it's a good, enjoyable show that's worth overlooking (most of) its faults... with the occassional nitpicking of course. ^__~

Win-cest?! Err... yeah. Well, the fandom can and will do whatever it wants to, but that doesn't mean I have to read. *^-^* Angst and snarky humor I could really get into, though.

Thanks for the recommendation!

Well, there IS some really good gen fic out there too. However, to my sadness, some of it does lean towards Win-cest but is still described as gen. If I had one complaint about the (majority of the) fandom, it would be that it's overly praiseful of the show (not v. accepting of discussion of it's possible faults). But if I had TWO, it would be that it overly promotes (and is obsessed with) Win-cest. It sort of reminds me of the 1x2 pairing in GW fandom: god help you if you DON'T like it. There's some denial over the fact that it is indeed NOT canon..

...the Win-cest drives me a little bit crazy. -_- And the show definitely has flaws. Still, it's worth some good fun, and thus I can forgive the fandom for being somewhat stupid. ^_^

I watched about ten minutes of the show with hubby and he said, "The chic's the werewolf." I should know better than to watch with him. XP I did not expect the bullet in the end, though.

While I appreciate the skin show, I was disappointed in the plot this time around, for the reasons mentioned here and by [livejournal.com profile] jinsai.

Good point about the way season 1 was focused and season 2 is wandering. They haven't done much against the BBEG (Big Bad Evil Guy) enemy lately and I really feel they should. The monster of the week is fun, but I like to see at least a sign of the over-arching plot in each ep.

Per Joan's morbidity streak, I would love it if Bobby (or someone) called up next ep. and said, "Found it! I've found a cure!" It would make me feel vindicated that they did give up too easily and they would have something extra to angst over and beat themselves up about! ^_^

Remember that Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfiefer werewolf movie? They used some kind of charm to (temporarily) prevent the wolviness in that one. There's a folk remedy or a charm against *everything* and I just can't believe someone would have tried them all, or that the Winchesters should just take someone else's word for it and give up-- especially considering Sam's feelings. Sure, doing that might have dragged the episode out into a two-parter, but I could deal with that.
