I was going to sum up tonight's Supernatural (as if the above didn't do that), but [livejournal.com profile] jinsai did it oh-so-much better than I ever could. So here's that post, which seriously hit on just about every point I wanted to make on the epispode -- the Sarah thing, the Sam and Dean thing (HE FLINCHED), the not-explaining-that-one-night thing, the predictable neighbor thing -- except for one:

Maddie and Sam! Werewolf sex (in a completely not-bestiality-ish sort of way)! Horribly fantastic. I want an icon of that scene so that I may giggle lecherously at it for ages and ages to come. Mostly I was thrilled because Sam was finally getting some action (love on him~!) and Dean was left with Pay-Per-View and his strip club, but the fact that [livejournal.com profile] domacatrix (and I, although I kept a little bit more quest about it, Joan XD) completely predicted the wild werewolf!sex. Then again, Joan did a better job of it -- she actually did a count down. "Rough sex in three... two... one... *BAM!*"

...yeah, I'm completely thrilled by that episode of Supernatural. It was pretty rocksome.

I watched about ten minutes of the show with hubby and he said, "The chic's the werewolf." I should know better than to watch with him. XP I did not expect the bullet in the end, though.

While I appreciate the skin show, I was disappointed in the plot this time around, for the reasons mentioned here and by [livejournal.com profile] jinsai.

Good point about the way season 1 was focused and season 2 is wandering. They haven't done much against the BBEG (Big Bad Evil Guy) enemy lately and I really feel they should. The monster of the week is fun, but I like to see at least a sign of the over-arching plot in each ep.

Per Joan's morbidity streak, I would love it if Bobby (or someone) called up next ep. and said, "Found it! I've found a cure!" It would make me feel vindicated that they did give up too easily and they would have something extra to angst over and beat themselves up about! ^_^

Remember that Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfiefer werewolf movie? They used some kind of charm to (temporarily) prevent the wolviness in that one. There's a folk remedy or a charm against *everything* and I just can't believe someone would have tried them all, or that the Winchesters should just take someone else's word for it and give up-- especially considering Sam's feelings. Sure, doing that might have dragged the episode out into a two-parter, but I could deal with that.
